Cellular Growth (2025)

Installed in the foyer of GGD Rotterdam Rijnmond’s new building, Cellular Growth is an exploration of organic movement and transformation. Inspired by the phrase “Voorkomen is beter dan genezen” (“Prevention is better than cure”), the artwork translates the beauty of cell division and growth into a flowing, layered structure.

Crafted from sustainable materials—acoustic felt panels made from recycled plastics and wooden elements sourced from fallen Rotterdam trees—the piece embodies both innovation and environmental consciousness.

A timeless composition that sparks curiosity, familiarity, and harmony, Cellular Growth reflects the ever-evolving nature of life itself.
